Due to COVID-19, Christie’s storage facilities and offices are currently being impacted by government restrictions. Lots will be made available for collection once we have received payment in full. Shipping quotes and expected delivery dates may be subject to change and there may be delays to the fulfillment of your shipment. Christie’s is monitoring the situation closely and will keep you informed should circumstances relating to your quote and/or shipment change.
If collection/shipment is not possible following payment in full, Christie’s will store your lot and will be liable for physical loss or damage, on our usual terms and without cost to you, until collection is permitted. Should lots not be collected within 30 days of our notification to you that collection is permitted, storage charges may apply.
Additionally, Christie's has not been able to inspect certain lots in our sales due to current COVID-19-related restrictions. In those circumstances, additional terms and conditions for those lots will be available in the Special Notice section of the applicable lot page.
Across all Christie’s offices we are ensuring arrangements are in place to protect the health and safety of our staff and clients. These measures include COVID-19 guidelines for all staff; increased hygiene measures including hand sanitisers and increased touch point cleaning; social distancing arrangements such as signage, floor markings, barriers and perspex screens at client service points; and availability of personal protective equipment. Some sale views will be by appointment only depending on local government guidelines to ensure social distancing with safe occupancy levels maintained at all times.
